Cursor Controls Ltd are renowned leaders in the design and manufacture of highly engineered trackballs for industrial, military and medical applications. With high profile customers across the globe including Siemens, Ericsson, Philips and General Electric; their Industrial Trackballs can be found in thousands of applications from the most sophisticated missile and air traffic control systems, to ultrasound scanners and everyday internet kiosks. Their presence in the market extends back to development of the very first trackballs for early radar installations in the 2nd world war and they are still leading the way in the latest technologies in their industry.

Cursor Controls invited R&D Eurotech to improve their presence on the internet, specifically their rankings on major search engines such as Google. We undertook a preliminary study of their standing, the potential for optimisation of their current site, search statistics for recognised keywords in the industry and the activities of their major competitors. At this stage for the two top search-terms of “Industrial Trackball” and “Industrial trackballs”, Cursor Controls did not figure above 67th position on a Google search.

After only our first-level optimisation activities and within weeks Cursor Controls were at 1st place of the Google and Yahoo natural listings (for a worldwide search), on both search terms, and they have remained there ever since. Cursor Controls have retained our services and we are now moving forward to consolidate their position for the future and focus more broadly on their internet marketing activities as a whole.
